Lila Strub
MTH1W: Mathematics, Grade 9
Mrs. Strub began her career as a math specialist teaching high school math in the Catholic school board. Over the past number of years, she has specialized in middle school math, bringing extensive experience and a strong ability to bridge the critical transition from middle school to high school. We are confident that she will be a wonderful addition to our expanding high school program.

Darrell Kennedy
ICD2O: Digital Technology and Innovations in the Changing World
Darrell Kennedy is an Ontario-certified teacher with experience designing, developing, and teaching technology-focused courses. He has written curriculum, including a Computer Applications course that integrates digital tools, problem-solving, and real-world workplace applications. With teaching experience at Sheridan College and Conestoga College, he brings a practical, student-centred approach that helps learners build confidence, creativity, and critical thinking in technology, computing, design, and innovation.

Oliver Borr
Director of IMPACT
Oliver Borr currently serves as Director of Community Engagement and Director of Hamilton NCSY, bringing creativity, innovation, marketing experience, youth leadership, programming, mentorship, and relationship-building to his role as Director of IMPACT. Known for his ability to connect with students and families, Oliver is passionate about helping young people grow in confidence, leadership, communication, responsibility, and Jewish identity. His background in student engagement, music, marketing, programming, and community-building makes him uniquely suited to connect students with meaningful real-world opportunities and help shape a vibrant IMPACT experience.

Perla Zaltzman
Curriculum Resource Advisor for IMPACT - Proudly Jewish: Identity, History, and Leadership
Perla Zaltzman is a PhD candidate specializing in contemporary antisemitism at Brock University. She is an adjunct lecturer at Ariel University, where she teaches a graduate course on campus antisemitism, and a research fellow with the London Centre for the Study of Contemporary Antisemitism.

Goldie Weiser
ENL1W: English, Grade 9
Mrs. Weiser is an English specialist who brings two decades of experience in education. She holds a Master’s degree in Education, with a focus on the implementation of differentiated instruction in the classroom. Mrs. Weiser helps students develop as confident readers, thoughtful writers, and clear communicators.

Romy Friedman

Romy Friedman is a distinguished and innovative educator with extensive experience in curriculum design, science education, and educational leadership. She earned her B.Sc. from McGill University and a Master’s in Education from the University of British Columbia. Romy has served as a consultant to the Harvard Graduate School of Education and authored educational materials for Oxford University Press.

Kaime Sherman
Finding Your Voice: Dramatic Arts, Confidence & Leadership
Kaime Sherman is the Founder and Artistic Director of AiDa, Academy of Imagination & Dramatic Arts. Kaime brings decades of experience as a dramatic arts educator, actor, author, mentor, coach, and Hamilton arts leader. Through AiDa, she helps students discover their voice, develop imagination, build confidence, and grow through creativity, communication, and self-expression. She also brings experience in corporate training, helping individuals strengthen communication, presence, and confidence.
